Best Keyword Research tools in 2022
What are Keywords?
In SEO, keywords are very important and should be the core of any written work for the web, it presents in the content, titles, or in the SEO element.
The term
keyword is used in digital marketing, it is the word or phrase that people
type into the search engines (Google or Bing) to find what they’re looking for,
for example, if you want to do any course in any field, you might type
something like “best digital marketing course in Varanasi” or “UI/UX design
course” in your search engines. Despite that phrase consisting of more than one
word, still, it’s a keyword.
Types of Keywords
A successful
search engine is built on targeting the right types of keywords. When you
identify your best keywords opportunities, you can drive the most traffic, good
leads, and conversions for your brand.
When you want
to make sure that the keywords you’re targeting are being searched for by
people, you also have to specify the keywords that are relevant to your product
or services that your business offers. If you are conducting keyword research,
you should consider these important keyword types, one is a short tail keyword
and the other is a long-tail keyword, knowing that the keyword type can help you
target the right keywords with your SEO strategy.
Short Tail Keyword: -
The short tail
keyword is a search term made up of less than 3 words. They are referring to a very broad topic rather than specific ones. And they also have high search
volume and high competition.
Since these keywords are broad matches, they don’t convert very well. For Example, “pizza recipes” is an example of the short-tail keyword.
Long Tail Keyword:
A long-tail keyword is a search term made up of more than words, these keywords are very
specific. And they have relatively low or less search volume and competition.
This will bring in quality traffic leading to a higher conversions rate. For example, the “homemade pizza dough recipes”, this keyword will have low search volumes compared to short-tail keywords (pizza recipes).
How to do Keyword Research?
Finding high-volume search terms itself isn't enough. You
need to assure that the SEO keywords used in your content match with your product,
or service, to the keywords that your client use and this is where keyword
exploration happens.
While doing keyword research you should choose the keyword
that is used by your targeting audience on search engines, if you choose a relevant
or high-volume keyword it might get you better search results compared to other
non-relevant keywords.
